I feel ya.

I had two lightnings a 99 and 03, LOVED them. I miss the acceleration and they didn't handle that bad... actually pretty good. The g35 is not even close to as mod friendly as a lightning. The difference in speed stock for stock kind of made me wish I kept the lightning, but now I'm happy with the g. If you want the same kind of speed you'll need FI which means a lot of money (relatively speaking).
I had minor problems with both lightnings. The reliability with a g is great and the interior compared is night and day. I love the looks of a lightning but the're dated now. The g (as I'm sure your aware) is beautiful and to a lot of people looks like a more expensive car than it is. My g is lowered on staggered19's and I get people all the time starring at the car. A guy with his girlfriend stopped in front of me while I was pumping gas he said "I love that car". The hot girl was looking at me though, lol

to actually answer your question, its called the modding bug, you put one thing on there, you want to do more. basically you will want to mod the car further.
