A couple of questions on buying a pre-owned G35

I had posted these questions in the G35 coupe forum a couple of days ago. I guess this is the correct forum for such type of stuff..anyhow, here goes nothing:

After visiting several dealerships, I've finally managed to locate an '05 coupe (14k miles) and the asking rate is about $30k.

I just test drove the car earlier today and there's just one way to describe it: BLOODY AWESOME!

However, before I go further into this deal, I just had a couple of questions:
1. Are there any specific things I need to look out for? The car is shod with low profile Bridgestones. However, I did notice Michelins on an '06. What's the default tire brand? The car is pretty close to fully loaded with premium, aero/sport packages and the works. Are there any known issues with the Bose system or the Nav display?
2. The engine seemed to be a little too rev happy. Is it part of the engine's normal characteristics? I'm sorry but I've been driving rentals for the past couple of years (never got a chance to get my own car).
3. According to the dealer, the car is supposedly an "Infiniti approved" car...but are there any things that need to be taken care of?
4. Does the coupe come with a full sized spare tire?
5. Just as a side question, does Infiniti financing usually beat bank/credit union rates?
6. I'm trying to negotiate for 26-27k..should I go even lower?

Sorry for the barrage of questions but I can't wait to get my hands on the car ..the day I get it, I'll drive it like I stole it.

I'm new to the Infiniti stuf but can answer a few of the quetions. I just picked up an 07 coupe on March 26. The spare is a donut. Any that I saw with the Sport tuned suspension which includes the 19" wheels and tires were on Bridgestones. Without were mixed Michelin and Bridgestones. Financing varies. They were offering 3.99 on Gs until March 31. Take a hard look at a new coupe at new car rates (usually lower than used) as opposed to the car you are lookig at at used car rates. You may be able to swing the new car.

i would definitely look at some new ones.. maybe 5k more fully loaded since the new coupe is coming out soon.you usually lower rates on new cars you could end up paying very similar amounts.

1. well.. you're suppose to check out the whole car for any signs of anything out of the ordinary. look at the breaks and if theyre worn.. try to negotiate a free replacement.
2.the engine is very rev happy and a heavy foot only adds to it
3.same as #1
4.some come with full size spare depending on what premium package it is.. usually 6mt's w/ navi's dont
5.depends on your credit.. if its great, most dealers can.. if its mediocre prolly not.. you can always sign an option contract(they find financing for u so u can drive off the lot with it and theyll give u 5 days to find financing anywhere else... if u dont hvae time to do it in 5 days dont worry.. soon as u get ur registration.. u can find a credit union to pay off the finance co. the dealer went with and ull pay the credit union)
6. go the lowest you can man!!! its a negotiation!!

hope that helps

There are a few dealers near me that are advertising new 06 coupes at up to 6500 off sticker. Depending on sticker that may be right about 30-31 if you can swing the difference. Need to add tax too.

Thanks for the prompt replies guys. The thing is, I can't really extend my total budget beyond 30 grand. I've managed to get the asking price on the car to about 28k OTD which seems to be a decent deal for a fully loaded, very low mileage car. KBB/Edmunds have it appraised at 33k+.

Just a couple more questions and I guess I shall be pretty much signing the deal..

1. Are 19" tires better than 18"s in terms of performance or grip? I'm also assuming that 18"s usually last longer..
2. Does the Infiniti CPO warranty (another 72 months or until 100K miles) replace the basic warranty? Or is it an extension?
3. I've been reading reports on some kind of total failure of the audio system's head unit..what exactly is this? And is there a way to check it before purchase?

Thanks in advance! Hope to post some snaps real soon!
