Did I get a good lease deal

From Long Island, NY. Leased a G35X with prem. package and Sirius for $400 a month with $3,000 down, 39 month lease, 12k miles a year. I drove a hard bargain and went to 2 dealers. I finally settled on Atlantic Infiniti in Lynbrook, NY. Did I get a good deal? Everyone seems to think so from what I tell, but you guys know best.

I paid 900 bucks down and 500 a month.....seems about the same. Yours works out a bit better in the long run....i needed the money to save up for a house in the shorty. Still a great deal for such an awesome car!

i put 3000 total down, which also covered my last 2 payments of my 06 coupe...im paying 589 on 07 sport 6mt, with premium, navi tech, spoiler. This is also on a 24 month lease.

The 2 factors that made my payment so high are the term of the lease and because im leasing an S as apposed to the X which leases much better.

But i got a sick deal.

Too late, they asked me and I said "Internet". I felt like I was getting ripped off, because at the time I thought my friend's girlfriend got a 328xi fully loaded for 3500 down, 400 a month, with 15k miles, but it turns out she paid over 4,000 and got 12k miles....but it seems like I got a decent deal.

Let's see. $400 * 39 = $15,600. Add $3000, and you are paying $18,600 for a $35,000 car to drive for a little more than 3 years. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me.

I don't think you can jugde leases like that but I could be wrong. The only real good way of telling if I got a good lease deal is to see what others are paying. I will give you an example:

1) My friend has a 2006 Acura TSX with 15k mileage limit. That car is MSRP around 29k. He pays 390 a month, with $2500 down

2) I know someone who just got a BMW 328xi fully loaded. She is paying $400 a month, $3500 down, 12k miles limit. She got a great deal because it was in February, one of the best sales times to buy or lease.

I am curious what others are leasing the G35X for........

Not to turn this into a buy vs lease thread but....

The car described is a 37k car. But assuming you could get it for 35k which sounds fair - with tax is 38k. Then there is financing which may bring the car to 42k. If you don't finance it, you still have lost interest so still the same (42k). Every 3 years he/she gets a new car. If you bought the car, you would need to get $24k after 3 years to break even with the lease deal. You most likely would not get that or get close to that, so the lease deal is a good one. He/she gets the option of buying it out or going on to a new and better car afterwards.

I always bought cars but my next car will definitely be a lease. I like to have a new car every 3 years and buying and then selling was a hassle. If you plan on keeping your car for a long time, then buying is the way to go for obvious reasons. I've changed my tune with respect to buying and leasing. I love cars too much to settle for a older car over a long period of time. Life is too short.

A friend of mine just picked up a fully loaded G35x with Premium, Nav, Tech, and Wood - 15k miles per year. 3k down (includes tax and first payment) $495 per month. I thought this was a phenomenal deal. He happens to know someone at the dealership so that might have helped.

Why are you guys putting down paymants down??? You know if you total the car or it's stolen you don't get your down payment back, right? If you are interested in lowering your payments put security deposits down. Or, just take whatever you were doing to put as your down payment and invest. Just my 2 cents.
