How's THIS for a lease!!
How's THIS for a lease!!
CLIFFS
The drive off= $3638
Monthly Pmt= $498/mp
Lease Length= 36mo
Miles/yr= 12K
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I have is a Black on Black 6spd,nav,Aero,Premium, and the Sport Tuned
Suspension. The only option it is missing is the Rear Active Steer pkg. The best lease program on the Gcoupe is 36 months and with 12k miles per year 3638 due at signing you would be at 498 per month. Keep in ming that you don't have to put that much money down if you put less you would break the
500 mark. Please let me know your thoughts and Than you for

not sure, I'll have to look into it a little further. It's the first quote I got from a local dealer who's used car's are ridiculously overpriced.
This price actually seemed pretty good, he said he based on on invoice. I think i can get him to go under invoice or throw in oilchanges for life or something to sweeten it up...thoughts, advice?!

Its hard to judge a lease deal by those numbers you posted, or like most of ppl only give an monthly payment and ask "how is this deal"...its not all that different than to that of finance a car...how much discount off MSRP, what is the interest rate and for lease? what is the residual value.
MSRP 40605, Invoice 37102, Residual 61% (lease compare), MF of 0.0025 (6%)...
If the Cap cost is at invoice, and without any cap reductions, the payment would be 497 plus tax, which is your payment, but you have to ask yourself, is your MF lower than 6% or your residual is lower than 61%, if they are? that deal isnt great then, there also the issue with the "drive off" what dose that include and how much of that used as cap reduction(down payment).

I was told I was getting this price based on invoice. What are the exact questions I should ask to get the information necessary to figure out if its a good price?
IE: "What is the cap value you've assumed for this car"
I need specific answers as most of this is new to me. Thank you!!!

If they quote you a payment, ask them how did they arrived at that number, what is the Cap cost/residual/MF, is that payment includes sales tax, what and how much are the fees and how much of that "drive off" amount is going towards the cap cost.
Sure they might sell it to you at invoice but you do not know what is your interest rate or residual...The number I came up with was base on invoice but without that 3638 drive off, sure some of it are going towards the fees, unless you are paying sales tax ahead of time in one lump sum I would've guess about 2k of it are going towards cap cost, so either your interest rate are higher than 6% or your residual is lower than 61% or both.
You can see there are lot more factors to figure out your lease deal (or anyone else's) than what you've posted.

Your deal is great but last august my '06 navigation, premium, sport, w/ no RAS was:
total drive off: 1400
terms: 15K miles/ 12 months
payment w/tax included: 370/month

G35 Coupe with Nav, Aero, Prem (sport suspension is standard):
MSRP - $39,965
Invoice - $36,582
Residual - 61%
MF - .00194
At Invoice: Depreciation Portion - $339
Interest Portion - $118
Total should be $457
Seems like you are not getting the car at invoice OR he has included some "down payment" (cap cost reduction) in your upfront money OR he's jacked up the money factor. What is your tax rate there?
Calculation is easy. Here's an example I posted in the buying and leasing forum (not your numbers but you can follow). In the below example the "0.54" is the residual %. Taxes and fees are not included:
Depreciation Portion
MSRP x 0.54 = $37,415 x 0.54 = $20,204
Negotiated Price - Depreciation = $35,415 - $20,204 = $15,211
$15,211 divided by the term (36 months) = $422.53
Interest Portion
(Negotiated Price + Residual) times money factor = ($35,415 + $20,204) x 0.00158 = $87.87
Total Lease = Depreciation + Interest = $422.53 + $87.87 = $510.40
MSRP - $39,965
Invoice - $36,582
Residual - 61%
MF - .00194

Here's ALL the data:
21 months/10K miles per year lease
$399.00 plus sales tax per month
$3,995.00 plus registration due at signing
Money factor: .00181
Residual: $27,670.65
Cap: $36,622.34
Does this make any sense? Seems like its an awful lot for the amount due at signing considering its 10K miles a year and $400 a month... thoughts?

my deal on the gcoupe was for a 2005 Gcoupe with every option minus the nav.
$457/month
$1760 drive off (first month payment, fees etc.)
12K miles per year
27 months
cap cost ~36000
residual ~72%
its now returned ... but you be the judge.
