I posted this over at myg37.com, but figured I'd post it here as well since there is a lot more traffic.
I just got back from the dealership with some numbers on the G37 Sport. I currently drive an '06 G35 Coupe and pay $439 a month with $1400 down based off a $38k pricetag (12k miles a year). I know the G37 just came out, but I wasn't expecting the price my salesman threw at me. He based it off of a $40k model and originally said $628 and my jaw hit the floor. Then he ran rates for another bank and came back with $589, which still floored me.
Both of those quotes were for 10k miles a year. My lease is ending in September and now have no idea what I'm going to do. I really don't want to leave the G family, but I don't think I have a choice. What do you guys think? Am I SOL?

We are leasing a lot of these right now as IFS is not very competitive right now (no reason to).

If you want better prices, wait 6-12 months. These things have gotten so much press and hype that the demand is high, people are easily willing to pay sticker or higher for these things.
The dealers know that if you don't buy a G37, someone else will. I would've LOVED to have one but I just didn't want to buy something and then be shooting myself in the foot a year or so later when people are buying the exact same car I have for cheaper. I'm not one to buy something just because its the flavor of the month.
Although I must admit, having 4 doors is nice. This is my first 4 door car that I've owned.
