kbb is never close to real market price and you should specify 04 05 or 06 because price diff between 04 and 06 is significant. Also, price ranges from location. But if you live in SoCal an 04 with 50k miles with all those options would be ~20k, out the door if you're lucky

For an 04-06', I'd be looking to spend any where from $20k for an 04' to $28k for an 06'. Have you checked craigslist or the local pennysaver? If you don't care if it has a salvaged title, I see an 04' w/navi for $13k. Here's an 04' MT, 50k miles, all the pkgs, w/o navi, and extended warranty for $22k OBO (which I know you can lower). LINK

Check out http://losangeles.craigslist.org . Stay away from the 03' MT.

Edmunds TMV appraiser - great for getting pricing ideas
Autotrader - best place I know of to shop and get a feel for where prices are in your area

03's are notorious for tranny problems/replacement, fuel line recall, radio headunit replacement, non-brembo brake pads wearing out before 14k. I heard of 04's having problems with the fuel line and brake pad wear. These would be just a few questions to ask the original owner if its been replace or not. The car itself has a lot little annoyances like rattles, so be prepared.

So is it safe to say that the '04 didn't have the same tranny problems as the '03? Looking at getting an '04 myself, still researching potential issues to look out for.
