The rough formula is that every additional $1000 adds approximately $20 to your monthly payment...the outstanding $2000 that you'd be rolling in would bump your payment up by approximately $40/month. I still think that lease payment is high, even if you factor that in...however, if I'm not mistaken, Infiniti lease rates on the G are sitting at over 6% right now - ouch. How is the vehicle optioned out, anyway?

Yeah the lease rates i was reading here were kind of high. Why is that? Do our G's suffer from heavy depreciation or something? I mean thats the only reason they would be so high right?

If you are concerned about the rattles or other extraneous sounds you will not eliminate them by purchasing an 06 Coupe. It's part of ownership.

From the pic you posted, it doesn't appear to have the Aero Package, for one thing (no spoiler). It has the Sport Suspension Package...does it have the full Premium Package, RAS? And it's the 5AT, right? Just trying to get an idea of the value...

You can still get an '04 (regardless if that's what he has now) with low miles and hasn't been crashed, not have a creeking car anymore and be happy. He's not upset he has an '04, he's upset that he found out his car had been in an accident and now make unfixable noises.

Ummm I guess you didn't do what I commanded and read his original post? I smote thee.

I doubt you'll get them as low as $30,000...as it stands, the price they've given you is below the original dealer invoice, so they're already losing money. But if it's been sitting around that long, you'd think they'd be inclined to deal (plus, they'll make a profit from your trade-in...that's where they get you). If you're set on that particular car, and you're going to finance, I'd offer them the $30,000, negotiate up from there to around $31,000, and be prepared to walk away if they won't budge. That being said...it's the lease & finance rates that are really the problem. Factoring those in, and the fact that the vehicle is 2 years old now...I'd have to say that it's a losing situation, unless it someone else's money you're throwing away...

That $599/month they quoted you for the lease...is that taxes in?

What I would want to know is why they have an 06 on their lot that has never been titled? What's wrong with it?

One rule of thumb. A dealership is NEVER going to sell a car below what they paid for it and I don't care what they show or tell you.
