06 Lakeshore Coupe, see tomorrow

I'll be in Phoenix and see this LS 06 coupe. Over the phone he said he'd give me 500 over wholesale, 25,300 on the car, but I'd rather give him a few k over trade-in, 22,300 or so. Think he'll bite? What would you offer/think it's worth?

$500 over wholesale is fair. The man needs to eat too. This car also has the Premium Package (Dual Zone A/C, Moonroof, Bose), Bluetooth, Intelligent Key and the optional 18" wheels. It ain't no base model. Just make sure he's being forthright with the wholesale book number. If he's offering it to you for $500 over, it's fair. The mileage doesn't seem too bad for a mainland car (being in Hawaii, that'd be considered high). They no doubt took the car in at least slightly back of book so I'd say asking for another $300 or so off is reasonable, but $22,300 is just a slap in the face and makes you look ignorant.

FWIW, I booked out the car for Hawaii (I tried to use the 85249 Zip Code listed there but it wouldn't take) and I got $29,645 for the full retail value. If the retail for your Zip is close to this number, $25,300 is very fair.

You're absolutely right about what's fair. 20,825 is trade in excellent, private party excellent is 25,110 and retail is 29,510. I'll drive it and we'll talk.

Matt, you won't believe this, but I got it! I offered 22,500 and they wanted it out of there. Only been on the lot a week. Awesome dealership. Ultra modern, has a barbershop, massage, wifi lounge, food, big screens, really a new experience. I told him I loved the car, but I just didn't have the cash he'd want and he said "Give me the number, worst I can do is smile and say we can't do it" so I did. Guy moves 20+ cars a month so he was all business. They made it happen, 5% financing too. Even lower than USAA. I was impressed. Car is a gem. Virtually flawless inside and only a few front end rock chips outside. I'll get pics and post it very soon!

Good stuff. They must have been in the car better than I thought. Congrats. Now take pictures and share.

Okay, okay, I'll post a couple snaps I took after the first wash. No legit photo shoots yet, but trust me, they're coming.

Released, your car looks great! This post gave me the motivation I needed to head out and have my Lexus appraised.

Although the local carmax gave me a lower figure than I wanted at least I know I can begin my campaign to sell my vehicle and prepare for an immediate purchase of my coupe soon!

I can't wait to post my pics and share my story as well
Can't wait to see the photoshoot

Looks good to me By the time I made up my mind that I wanted to buy a G, Lakeshore Slate was my top choice, until I found out it was not offered in Graphite. Check out the "Care and Detailing" section of this forum if you haven't....a lot of good info.

I drove an Athens in graphite in San Diego and I liked it a lot, but the car was in terrible shape. Here in Tucson the stone will be a lifesaver. May have to 2-tone the leather though to match my Maxima. The mod bug is so hard to resist right now, but with the wedding in November, gotta be strong. Maybe some clear corners, just for a start

Funny you mention Athens Blue because once I saw the color, I absoloutely had to have my G in that color with graphite. For a while I thought I might have to settle for DG. I also have a Maxima too. Let me know where you end up getting your clear corners from. Good luck with the wedding, it can be stresseful planning everything out. Take care.

Athens is definitely hot. I had to have AB or LS, would have been happy with either and wound up with LS, love the metallic flavored paint. My Max is Grey Lustre metallic, fianceé has it now, we'll keep it forever I hope. Love that car. I could afford to mod that though, stakes are way up on the G. I'm going to call my Nissan parts guy at Southpoint tomorrow and see what he can do, otherwise West Covina Nissan sells on ebay sells real reasonably, clear corners, alum pedals, accessory type things.
