I just picked up my '03 coupe for 22K and it had only 13.5K miles. It was at a preowned BMW dealer lot where someone just traded on a 6 series. I saw that price was basically KBB, but I didn't really haggle as I knew such low miles was a rare find. I'm sure they would have said walk away, the next customer will buy it. It has Nav, chrome facotry 18's and some nice JL audio goodies. Hopefully the factory radio will last. I need to check on the HID thing. They appear bright enough to be HIDs as they are much brighter than the high beams.

Although it looks and smells like a new car I just hope it had enough miles to work any bugs out of it. Still have some powertrain warranty left though. So far I'm siked as I'm stepping out of a WRX and into a nice level of lux and performance.

"I'm a new g35 owner myself (just bought yesterday)
switched from an rx8 (loved it)"

Sorry don't mean to hyjack this thread,

How does the G35 compare to the RX8?
Room, performance, workmanship?

I test drove 1 about 2 years ago and all I remember was they always seemed to be working hard.

I got my 03 with 28,000 miles for 16,500. It has HID's and the guy I got it from had the popcharger z tube set up with a crawford plenum and he smoked all the lights. I thought it was a pretty good deal. Private seller to so no taxes and stuff.

My friend recently got an 05 RX-8 for 14,500 with pretty much every option they offer, it had 30k miles on it. I wouldn't pay 18k for an RX-8, especially an 04.

G35's are great cars if well cared for, some people have some cruddy problems with the stereo and stuff though. I had a problem with my bose system so I got a touch screen navi and full stereo system, problem solved

The thing about the G's is that they don't have that 'youth' image about them. Not in a bad way, rather it's the more discerning person would get a G. It's more sophisticated, and not so ***s and the Curious, if you know what I mean?

yeah... a little more upscale, but when push comes to shove you can do awesome things with the vq35
