So im in a bit of a mess im 18 and live in nebraska and the legal age to buy a car here is 19.

Now this means that I can be on the title or even co sign with my mom for the car,

Now i will be honest my moms credit anit that good due to a famliy emegancy where we had to use our credit cards and we fell behind on the payment and now shes in Consolidated credit program.

Point is im stuck now I could ask my uncle to get the loan and have it deposited in my moms account and then she can buy the car I know he will do it and I know he knows I will pay I mean I do have 2 jobs but I feel weird asking my uncle you know id like ppl to know im responsible enough to get the car with out much help but im stuck on stupid nebsaka laws


FYI i can buy cigs and nutiy mags n go to places where 18yrs can but the Legal age for Loans, cell phone contracts, not being considered minor ect its all 19!!! lol im ****ED!!!

Help your Mom out instead of buying the car, and get your loan next year.

i am am but i can afford it now and she wants me to ge the car beacuse of gas that way she can drive my 4 banger sentra and i can drive the g35 and the v8 checy can sit in the parking lot untill we need to haul *** lol

just to let you know all three of those cars might have a steal of a price but all WILL be wrecked in one way or another.

I've been in and out of about 10-20 used car lots and even dealerships lots. Every car i've checked out had a clean carfax but when i went there body parts have been replaced and poorly painted. Thats if your lucky other wise you find nasty overspray, uneven panels, and just a mess of a car. But in the pictures the car looks great.

the middle car is salvaged and the last car looks like it was once modded and wrecked and then put together again. But since your not in a position to even by the car now you just have to wait it out.

I would say get an uncle/ other family member to co-sign with you. Have them be the primary and you be the back up. OR have them sign for it and then when you pay off the car/ turn 19 change it back. i would say pay off the car because your uncle might get a rate of say 6.0% APY and you being only 19 might get more then 6%. i'm 22 and i'm getting turned down for the low interest loans, i have a higher score then my parents but since they have credit for a loan term then me, they are getting the lower rates.

Actually TBH im i have the same problem as you only except my parents have poor credit b/c my dad had cancer, and I REALLY want a G but i came to realize that i jsut cant have it now.

I know u dont wanna realize that, as i got shut down when i couldnt get it but thats how life is, best advice just keeping saving eventually u'll only need a little loan which is easier to get approved. GL with the car.

I'm trying to see if I can get a personal and go for a bike. Figure i pay it off quicker than I go get my car with the credit I built with the personal loan..
