Lightbulb Warranty work question for Mike

Mike I finally got my G coupe in May like we discussed back then. However I have a question for you. I got the car with 22.5K miles on the dash and now I'm at 28.7K.

I'm coming up on my 30K mile service interval and I'm wondering if its better I take take the car in now for a free warranty inspection or should I wait until the 30K service and have them inspect for any TSBs or suggested warranty repair/replacements at that time?

Also, my driver's chair's starting to tear a little on that little strip of leather that attaches to the seat bottom near the back of the driver's seat on the left side if you know what I mean. Do you think this is covered under the warranty?

Thanks in advance

As long as your 05 didn't go out of its 4 year warranty, you're good to go on the seat.

Just make sure you get all your warranty work before the 4 year portion expires, since age will be a bigger issue for you than miles.

Ferrarimanic360, how did they fix the seat? Did they fix that part or did you get a new cushion the piece is attached to?

It expires 4 years from the in-service date.

If it was purchased in late 04 as an 05 year car, then it will expire in late 08.

they probably replaced the seat trim, god awful expensive piece on these cars, i swear you reapair two seats under warranty and you have half the price of the car.

as for TSB's you have to complain about the problem then we see if its an affected model, i know i don't do updates on tsbs if the car dosn't need it you have to have a legitmate complaint, also your morein tune with your car than we are, since you do drive it everyday. the best way to get that stuff done is bring it in for the service so the tech gets a little gravy, and nit pick the car apart for noises, driveability issues, and a lot of the time its solved with a service, either from tires being out of balance or something else if its a noise, since harmonic frequency comes into play with all noises and vibrations in a car.

hope that helps, thats my opinion, i've been an infiniti tech for almost 8 years now.

Thanks. I'll have to schedule a service date when it stops snowing around here! I haven't driven my baby since last week

Yes, a dealer can tell you when your warranty expires. Have your VIN on hand when you call.
