Any NYC Area Dealers to Avoid?

The time has come for me to get serious about getting a G35x. The best deals on Autotrader seem to be in the NYC, northern NJ area. Some post a low price but then in the fine print say that price is after a $3000 or $5000 down payment. This sends me a red flag on those guys. Anyone have a good or bad experience buying in this area?

Thanks for your input.

Honestly, if i don't feel comfortable or something seems off, i don't even bother. Plenty of cars out there. I'd just rather not deal with it.

If you dont mind driving all the way from CT to NY then you should contact Kenny at Infiniti of Massapequa. i bought my car from him and he got me really good deal and they are one of the best Infiniti dealers on the east coast.

Any body deal with Deluxe Auto sales of Linden NJ or Z-Corner Auto Mall in the Bronx? They both have a car that I'm looking for. I'll be going there in the next few days and will buy one. I'll let you know how things worked out.

Do they do the shady fine print like you mentioned in your original post?

More shady. Carfax said that the car at Delux had been in an accident and was sold about a year later. The second owner resold after two months! RED FLAG.
Z-Corner listed the price at $17,495. When we sit down to do the paperwork they tell me there is a $995 "documentaion fee". I got them down to "only adding $495 so the price was $17990. Still an excellent deal for a car with only 39,700 miles. The car has the premium C package. My local Nisan/Infinity dealer wants $25K for a similar car.

To put things in perspective, back in 2000 I paid $17K for my '97 Maxima GLE, which still rums great but is getting old with 185K miles. It will be my backup car.

$995 Documentation Fee?! That's VERY shady.

How about the Deluxe Autos in Linden?

Didn't go to Deluxe because the Carfax report on their car gave me reason to eliminate it.

I've been searching the NJ/NY area as well. I'd be careful about "KG Suzuki." It seems like their prices are enticing, but all the reviews I've read are VERY shady.

Good luck.

I ended up buying the black G35x at Z-Corners in the Bronx. I paid $500 above the listed price for "documentation fees" but the price was still too good to pass up. It's got the premium C pakg. Runs and drives sweet. Picked it up last Fri. and passed CT emmissions Sat.

Bassman: I've had exceptional sales attention and service attention from the Number One Infiniti Dealer {at least they advertise aas such} Pepe infiniti in White Plains. When I shooped for a G35X 2007 in March 2007, actually leased, I went to 4 dealers in the area. Manhasset Infiniti was like dealing with "carpet traders" from Iran; Massapequa infiniti was OK, Ramsey infiniti was OK, but the best Internet contact and response was from Pepe. I went to all those other dealers, Pepe won hands down! btw, i was referred to them as a COSTCO referral. They were the best price - saved me over $30 per month on the lease - no money down. taxes, first month up front and bank fee thru Infiniti Financial. did it on the last day of April, a Saturday (that's always the best day - last day of the month). Signed the lease at 2PM, picked up the car at 5PM - prepped, waxed, and ready to go on a SATURDAY !! Can't say anymore.

I'm picking up my car today from Massapequa Infiniti. Speak to Kenny, his name on the forum is da mayor. He was easy to deal with, I got a great deal and everything was as promised.
