i do like the styling of the 07g better, but not sure that's worth the extra $3k, plus about $100/yr extra in insurance.

suggestions? thanks
Go to Kelly Infiniti in Danvers (I see you're in Mass) and buy the Lakeshore Slate '07 G35X. That was my car and I babied it. Synthetic every 5,000, etc. New tires, brakes, in real good shape. Every option. Not certified though as I did my own service since I was too far away to get to the dealer.

they are asking $28k for it, i doubt i'd get it for $21k. Why did you trade it in, did you upgrade? Can i ask how much they gave you for it?

thanks

That's it. I traded for a 2009 G37X. They gave me $25K for it, but I bet there's room to negotiate.

that's a great car. i think it's out of my price range, and given Kelly is at least 60 minutes away, i think i'll try negotiating at a local dealer.

thanks for the info though! i dont even want to ask you how you like your 09 g vs. the 07 g... i already can't afford the 07 g!

The '07 was a huge improvement over the '04 I previously had. The '09 is a nice upgrade, I like the 7 speed and the extra horsepower. I installed paddle shifters (non S model) and they make it really fun to drive.

update - that 07 g35x for $22,5 was not in good shape. passed on it. Was at a dealer and looked at an 07, base g35x with 46k miles, asking $24k.

i'm going to have to keep looking, since finding a nice 07 35x in the $21-22 range seems like a tough find.

if you were in the market for one of these last summer you could have easily found one. Prices have gone back up since the recession has eased. I remember seeing 08 2wd G35 sedans in FL with <25K miles going for 21-22.5 last summer. But then again my 06 was going for 14-15k at that time and now they're 16-17k.

Sounds like you got a great deal! I think you are really going to enjoy the HR engine. Congrats on the purchase.

Oh yeah, throw up some pics.

thanks for the congrats, really enjoying the g. such a nice ride, and starting the thing up - it sounds awesome!

i wont bore you all with the stock pics of my g, you've seen one stock 35x, you've seen them all.

i'm trying to get a 2nd ikey - anyone have suggestions for the cheapest and (most reliable) way to do this? Seems like ebay for the fob, and then dealer for $120 of programming!

i did email a nissan dealer to see if they can program the fob for less... not sure if it'll work.
