2003 black on black 6mt coupe with 75k?

dealer wants 16.9k for it but if I could get him down to 16.5 do you think this is a decent deal?

Ill most likely be financing the car for 5 years, just to keep the payment low and I can always pay it off early.

There is also a 2004 6mt twilight blue coupe 2 hours away from me...seller only wants 14.9...it has 57k on it, sound fishy at all?

I have only seen the black one in person but with an '03 if it passes infiniti inspection do you guys think 16.5 would be fair? I dont want to low ball and insult but I don't want to overpay at the same time.

an 03 with 75k should be around $12-$14,000.

I guess I should mention that the car is fully loaded including nav, does that still put it in the 14k price range?

I was also taken by surprise that he wanted that much for it, thats why I posted here.

imho, even though the 03 is fully loaded ,$16.5 is still way to much for an 03 with
75,000 miles on it. Is it a AUTO or 6MT?

its a 6mt.

I need automatics like I need another hole in my head. Every dealer I've been to has 2-3 autos that are 3 grand less and in better shape...I wish I wasn't so picky.

KBB says that if the car is in immaculate condition that its worth 14.8, so I guess the best action would be to bring that to the dealer and start negotiating from there.

I've got Black/Black '03 G35 6MT Coupe with 78k miles....every option, minus Nav.

I was considering selling it recently, and was looking at being able to get around $12k TOPS for it here in Dallas.

So yeah, $16k is WAY high and no, $14k isn't suspiciously low.

The dealer with the black on black said the best he could do was 15.5

The dealer 2 hours away from me with the 04 said the carfax shows an accident.

Don't know weather to just take the 15.5, when I showed him the KBB and offered him 14 he started explaining "market value" to me like I'm some dumb F*** and tryed to tell me 17k is cheapest I'll find lol

as already mentioned, that price is high. my rule of thumb is always offer a price that's 10% cheaper (i.e. ~16,000 - 10% = 14,400). then you can offer counter prices from that point. some things that could help with the price could be to get the car inspected by a third party inspection company that specifically deals with used car inspections. they will be able to fish out any underlying issues the car may have, and you can slash of the price for those repairs. it's a start. good luck!

16k? that's totally out of line... i just sold my 1-owner 03 6 speed a couple months ago. See here:
https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-car...0-1-owner.html

you should not pay a cent over kb book private party value even from a dealership. If anything their car should be less because of their dealer fee.
16k is a joke....check out the forum classifieds and find you a nice 1 owner.
