Trickstyle I think he has found one by now too. Lol. But to continue on discussion I am 23yrs old and I own a 2008 Infiniti G35 Journey Sedanthat has 56k currently. I bought this car 4 months ago and it has been the hardest to keep up financial wise. I am a college student here in florida and still live with my mom. I pay everything besides rent and i am broke with two jobs full time plus taking school 3/4 time i am happy with the vehicle. But it has been a struggle. I have been playing out the butt for gas and maintaince has been a struggle to keep up. I bought the vehicle through the auction for 24k. I owe right now 21k with almost 400 dollar payments. I finally completed all the maintaince on the vehicle and hope paying for the extend warranty to 86k i wont have any unsuspected issues.

I am also 23 but my G is a 2003 Coupe with 191xxx miles on it. When I got the car last January the first thing I fixed was the electronics(stereo/HVAC/door locks/fuel gauge sensor) n now I'm on my suspension(used OEM, doing it myself), and then eventually my engine when she goes. yeah, it gets expensive but I think its worth it! The car is a joy to ride, I just couldn't imagine making $400 payments/mo I pay 200.40/mo and about $140/mo for insurance, also a college student at Temple U and live w/ my parents(just got out of the military). I would try to get the loan term extended if possible. sure you will be paying more in the long run interest wise, but I think its worth the peace of mind to not worry so much about getting that insane payment made each month and also you have extra money in case of an emergency, or to plan a trip maybe? I'm currently going through a divorce and soooo many random things have come up due to her just being a complete B**** (yes, with a capital B) that its good to have that extra money in the bank. and whenever I come across a large sudden sum on money(ie. taxes) it goes straight into the loan. and another thing that has saved me a TON of $$$ is to read the crap out of the forums and do all the maintenance on your own that you can. my camshaft position sensors cost me about $120 and a 10mm wrench, the dealership wanted to charge some ridiculous amount for that 20min job. these forums rival facebook for my free time lol and if they had a G35Driver app, my iPhone would always be dead lol

I have almost 400 a month payments with 6% interest at 66months. I have to wait till the loan gets to 18k before i can refinance and get the interest to drop to 3.75%. I was only given $19k to work with at bank in order for me to cover to 23k i had to up the interest. But i have spent i say around almost $1000 with maintance, they cover around $3000 in warranty work for panels replacement, headlight replacement, hestitation, etc.

When you want a very nice car you pay for it. The car i traded in was an 2008 Pontaic Grand Prix GTP i had around 86k mileage and i got 8k for it. I owed 7700 so i got 300 buck i was like wow then i put down 1.5k for in the infiniti. Sold my motorcycle and been putting that money into the infiniti.

That's true but when you pay all that money and couple months down the road, that same car depreciates significantly. I hate that about our cars....resale value sucks

I understand that. I love my Infiniti and plan on keeping it for quite awhile. If I can kill some of my credit card debt from when i started my business and just spending without cause, I plan on buying myself another motorcycle maybe like an 06 GSXR so i can save on gas and enjoy riding again. I have been looking for a sweet sports bike but need to save for it before i go off looking again.

Either that or a Ninja ZX-10R. I love motorcycles but my mother feels it is much safer in a car than on a motorcycle so i wanted to make her happy and myself happy at the same time.
