New member here wanting to buy

Hello everyone im look to buy a G35 coupe. what year should i go with and why?

also what should i look out for when buying one such as common problems an such.

about how much am i looking to spend for insurance being 21 with 1 ticket. keep in mind i have had insurance for 5 years now with no accidents or claims

Well, new the car is the most likely you wont have any problems with it but your insurance will be higher. An older g would have cheaper insurance but you might run into problems, but these cars have been running bretty good so far

ok sweet so there really hasnt been any common problems like t-stat's or something like that. also i will most likely go with an older one as i am very well mechanically inclined.

well i heard the 03's had bad oil consumption so i guess it will have to be 04 and up.

well you heard incorrectly. 2003 dont have oil consumption issues. 04-05.
I wouldnt get any older than 06. Thats already 6 years old. The interiors on the non-revups are soo dated as well as the dash and headlights.

You can get a 06 for under 10k now anyhow.

yeah i agree 2005+ would be where to look, interior was updated in 2005 and exterior updated in 2006


just keep an eye on the oil level the 6mt versions can have oil consumption problems but really any can have that problem my car did and it wasnt one that should have

ok so it looks like im going 05 then... i dont like the newer style as much as the older one and this one will have an updated interior..

Thanks for the help guys!

also what do you guys pay on insurance ea month? just so i can get a rough idea.

I am with farmers and i got every discount in the book except for one and they are pretty good for me. AAA is another good one. Cheap. I hope you get your g soon

go with 06 or 07.. u should be looking at the 20 or 18K range with those years.. try to find one with low miles.. i have a 07..with 66K so try to get in the 45 to 50 mileage range if u can
