check out 2005 g35 MT, need opinion thanks!

I hopped onto this forum a few days ago to start doing research. I've had a Camry for 6 years and am looking for something more fun/cool/luxury... after comparing to beamer and 350z I've decided the g35 is the answer, just need to find a good deal now.

$16.9K 2005 MT, with 54k miles (pretty low for the year). It seems like a pretty good price compared to everything else out there in my area (silicon valley). I just asked the seller if they'd sell for $15k and am waiting to hear back. Other 2005s around my area with 80k miles are going for $15.9K with automatic transmission... I'm curious at face value if the car checks out when I go see it if this looks like a good deal? Thanks!

here's link to car

if you want the 6MT i recommend taking the car to an INFINITI dealer to see if its burning oil... since rev-up engines have oil consumption issues

i dealing with the problem myself with my 05 Coupe 6MT

Anybody have an idea of what the Infiniti dealer would charge to see if it is an oil burner? I'm curious because I'm looking for a 2005-06 6MT Sedan and the only decent priced cars are 3 to 6 hours away.

Oh thanks. If it is having oil consumption issues.
How much would the infiniti dealer charge you to fix it?

well, if it is considered a recall then they might just do it at no cost. I contacted a cl poster about a car i was about to buy and he got his whole engine changed while under warranty

Too much from the dealer... it will be a hell of a lot cheaper to go through a a good shop and have them rebuild the long block. if you go with the dealer they will only replace the short block
