Hey guys,

I've been around for a while and finally have the means to buy the car that I want. I'm looking at a 2006 G35 with ~50k miles for about 20k. I have very specific standards and this one fits them. However, the car is 3 hours away and for sale by a private party, so I have a couple questions. Ideally, I'd like to inspect/buy in one trip but will make two if necessary. What's the best way to go about this?



-What form of payment is best? I will be buying it outright. I heard cashier's check mentioned.

-How would an inspection work? Do I have the owner perform it before I get up there? During? After? How long does this take? I know it costs around 100-200.

-Anything else I should know or prepare for?
