BUYING HELP! '06 G35 Coupe

http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/3075986148.html

I included the link above and it has all the pictures of the vehicle I am looking to potentially buy. It is an '06 Infinity G35 Coupe. My biggest issue is that the car is Salvage title at 8k Miles from damage to the drivers side door.

41k Miles
Automatic Transmission
Bose sound system
Bluetooth Keyless Start/entry Powerful V6 engine
K&N Cold air intake
Cf black roof Tan
Black interior
Black powdercoated G37 19" rims

Is this something that would be wise to purchase?

This is going to be my first car and is something that I will be putting a good amount of work into to call it my own. Basically what I want to know is what is the potential of this vehicle after putting some work into it?

Honestly I had friends who bought a salvage titled car and sometimes they can be a total steal or not.. its really a hit or miss but you really really need to take it to a mechanic. ESPECIALLY because its also modded. Ask him when he got his intakes installed and by whom. Ask for the papers for proof. Its very lightly modded so it should not be a big issue but the owner could have possibly beat it. Make sure you look at his oil and ask what oil he used. If it had any mechanical work done to it get all the papers for it to double check. Its really hard to say if its worth it till you get all these checked out but take your time on it. By being careful will save you a lot of time, money and a headache

I find it hard to believe that the insurance company totaled an '06 coupe with 40K miles and yet the car sustained no frame damage. Did the owner drive it into a lake?
