RCL-I Know exactly what you're saying, i plan to do that as well, track it a few times a year and have fun cruises to shows. I'm not worried about maintence or parts costs as i plan to cut no corners. It's a toss up between this and an s2k at the moment.

'06 6MT with 128,000 miles so far. Might have to add 1/2 - 3/4 qt at 4K miles on a 5k change interval. To me this seems like every other Nissan/Infiniti I've owned for the past 13 years.
Forum do tend to make "common" problems seem rampant, so it's something to look out for. I've actually known more guys with 03-04 autos that have OC problems than 05+ revups.

I have an 05 6mt with real bad OC. Like a quart every thousand miles or so. I'm real low every time I go in for a change, like nothing on the dipstick low so I started topping it off regularly.
Looking back I don't regret it and I knew about the OC problems on 05 6mt's before I bought my car and it didn't change my mind because the car I found was EXACTLY what I wanted in all specs.
