From reading your posts, it seems like you want this car and You are countering on every negative aspect

or reason why to run from this deal. Just get it, there is no experience like the ones life gives you, since

you are not listening to what others have already previously experienced.

Good luck!

My buddy took a chance on a Salvaged G. Worst mistake he could have made, he's put so much money in to the car and the worst part is there is absolutely no resale since it's a salvaged title. I agree with the rest and say to think your your mind, not your heart. Don't ever fall in love with a car when shopping, you'll end up regretting the fact that you let emotions come in to play when purchasing a vehicle should be strictly bidness.

Trading a non-salvage car, for a salvage car makes no logical sense.

If both cars were for sale, the non-salvage car will fetch more money in resale than a salvaged car.

I always say that in a trade, someone always makes out better. In this case, the guy ditching a salvage car at no cost is making out because now he has the car with higher resale.

You guys are absolutely right. Salvages really cant be trusted. The more I dig into it the more shady this guys story is becoming. First he tells me that he is the second owner, false I checked carfax he is the 4th owner. He bought the car off the 3rd owner who crashed it then payed to fix it up and is now selling it. Probably wanted to flip it and make a profit. It also strikes me as odd that on his craigslist ad he has the car at 116k Miles and when I took it for a drive I noticed it was at 119k........
Probably gonna bail on this guy on the inspection tomorrow.

It's hard to find a clean trade. Nobody is really interested, well it's probably because I have no way to contact them. But for salvage title owners they can benefit from it. I know, I'm going to drive this car into the ground so I don't need to sell it anywhere in my future. My next car will probably be a lease in 3 years after I get my degree. So I could care less about the title. But I'm sure I will need the money eventually.
I guess im an in the moment buyer.
