I think im going to buy a g35
So my 1997 mazda MX6 LS is getting old, and seeming slow.... Luckily some guy ran his stop sighn, ran into me, and totaled it... Now im looking at some insurance money plus what i had set aside.
So im almost convinced after looking a little bit on here, and looking at some reviews that the G35 is going to be my next car. Plus my friend had one, and says nothing but good stuff about it... BUT he only owned it for about 90,000 miles.....
What ever i get will most likey be over 100k... Anything i should look out for when buying?? Timing belt, transmission issues, etc? Weird un usuall things to add to my check list, for pre-buy inspection???
Please any and all advice will be appreciated.. I will keep yah'll updated

On my 2nd coupe. My first was an automatic it had over 122,000 miles on it when I had my accident. Even at 122,000 plus miles it was beautiful to drive. I now have a 6mt coupe and I love it as well. My advice to you is find one you like, make sure it's in great condition and enjoy the ride. My coupe has an Exoticspeed exhaust, Fujita intake, 20 inch rims and tires. After the snow I'll lower it and continue modding it.
Yeah there cool, but im more interested in what mechanical things to look out for. after I buy this car i will not be able to afford to fix it for a little while.
I need to avoid buying problems

Mechanically, the car is solid. It will stall at idle if the throttle body is dirty but that's an easy fix. Otherwise just keep an eye on front suspension parts. Ball joints and bushings die prematurely in the G.
Take whatever you might plan on buying to a reputable shop to give it the 100 item check over. That's what I did with mine and I bought it at 103,000 kms. I had the seller deduct the repair cost from the price. I enjoy my G and it's been trouble free except for regular service ever since.
