07' G35 clean title with 100k miles for 8k?

I was wondering if this sounds legit? Considering I've seen 04' G's with about 120k miles going for the same price range I would of though an 07' would be way more. He provides Carfax and supposedly is a 1-Owner vehicle...

What do you think? A trap? This guy does have a huge inventory of cars to choose from (mostly premiums, BMW, Mercedes, Infiniti etc), I personally visited the place the other day and was impressed.

Any suggestions? Considering mileage, title, price etc...?

I was going to buy an FX35 from him which was 12k and it was also 3k down. Which meant your were left with 9k to pay. But didn't went ahead with the purchase cause of wife...

Now idk what to do in this case since it looks like a nice deal hence why I am looking for some suggestions....

At that price I'd expect that it has had no prep for sale...it is as it was obtained by him at auction probably. You won't know maintenance history. So you'll want to take care of all the usual fluids and plugs right away. It looks clean in the pics; seems a fair price to me for the condition and miles through a car lot dealer sale. But you would know your local market best. Pricing as he has it (3K down, balance to pay) he is hoping to make up some money on the car price through the financing...he probably carries the note or gets a piece of the cash flow from his financing partner. So agree on the price before you discuss how the money will come to him. If you can pay cash and not finance that would be to your advantage; he may balk when you say cash deal. Good luck with your decision.

That's a pretty fair price. The sedans don't hold their value like the coupes and mileage seems to have a much bigger affect on price than the year. An 05 sedan vs an 07 sedan with the same mileage usually go for very similar prices. Where as an 04 coupe with 50k would fetch more than an 07 coupe with 130k.

I agree with paying cash if you can. They'll do a balloon rate and rape you on interest.

Thank you for the replies and suggestions guys.

I will go tomorrow and get a test drive and maybe work some numbers with this guy. If carfax is good, price is right, and inspection turns out ok, I will buy it.

If anyone has anything else to add or suggest please go ahead...I am listening

Find something with less miles..
For 8k you can get a Honda product with half the miles, maybe newer and will last a shitt ton longer instead of picking up someone else's old problem car..

Pretty sure it's $3K down + $8K...so $11K total, which is probably about right for a base model '07 sedan.

The selfie shot creeped me out though.

Agreed on that. Gary's car not withstanding, looks like he fancies himself the new "Slick."
