Thinking of buying this '06 G35 coupe...could i get some help?

This is the G35 I'm thinking about getting: http://www.elitemotorstx.com/2006_In..._258348333.veh

I mainly want to know what I should look for when I decide to check out this car. What questions should I ask? Should I be worried about the mileage? This will be the first car I have ever bought with my own hard earned cash and I really want to make the right decision. Thanks in advance

Auto...hard pass.
It looks like it's been cheaply modified so I'm not sure I would trust the maintenance upkeep from the previous owner(s).

I kinda agree. Looks cheaply modified and I see some wear and tear that is surprising for 113K miles. What's going on with that rear interior panel? It's been worn down to the yellow plastic??

Judging by how the bumpers are sagging (right side front and rear) and what looks like paint overspray in the trunk (look at harness and shocks) I'd say it was wrecked and might have had a shoddy repair. A wreck isn't a deal breaker, as long as it's been repaired properly then no big deal, but if the shop gets overspray everywhere and doesn't bother mounting the bumpers properly, then I wouldn't trust it. Combined with the aftermarket headlights, I'd say the previous owner cheaped out on repairs.

If you can buy it for $5,000 then go for it, otherwise keep looking for something in better condition for that price.

Edit:
Just noticed this one posted up in the classifieds, probably a better deal, and road trips are fun: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-car...84k-miles.html

Yeah I suppose you're right I did kind of notice some imperfections and I realized where it's being sold isn't the most reliable area for car buyers.

I did notice a lot of that stuff but it is being sold in a crummy area so I'm fairly certain it's gonna be a no go...I'll just keep searching. When it comes to buying a g35 is there a year model I should kinda lean towards? I see plenty of '03-'05 models on sale in my area a lot of the time.

pass on this car. actually, first laugh at it, then pass.

secondly, go for the newest and least mileage. simple as that.

also, try not to find cars that are being sold on a lot surrounded by barbed wire...

Believe me, when I found out that's where it was being sold yesterday I kind of gave up on it.

Go with newest and least amount of miles you can afford. At this point, with these cars being 10 years old or so, getting a good quality car is more important that getting one with a specific option that possibly can be added later on for a decent price. (IE brembo brakes)

Def pass on that one. +111111 on everything people already said, it's cheaply modded, looks beat to sht and has lots of miles. Even if he went down to 5K, you can expect to put some money into it. The link is a MUCH nicer car with really nice mods already done to it. Here is another car that is up for sale from a member on here with some killer mods.
