Upgraded G35S Manual Sedan
Exclamation Thinking of Selling Upgraded G35S

Hi all,

I'm thinking of selling my G and wanted to feel out what people think it's worth. The vehicle is upgraded and makes roughly 310 HP to the wheels, and it can put it down too because of the geared rear diff (also LSD). The vehicle was totaled in hail back a few years ago but was completely rebuilt and restored by professionals. The vehicle has only had two owners and was purchased with every single bell and whistle possible straight from the factory. If I failed to include something you're looking for below, just let me know!

-2003
-Color: Silver
-G35S with rear Spoiler
-Sedan
-Upgraded Stillen Cat-back Exhaust
-Cold air intake (wolf pop charger for 350z)
-Chip tune
-Limited Slip Differential
-19" RAYS wheels with lightly used General G-max tires (1 year old)
-Window tint
-All service records
-New O2 sensors (all 4)
-New clutch (~6,000 miles on it)
-New brakes, drilled and slotted (6 months old, 3,000 miles)
-Bose sound system
-Automatic Sunroof, Automatic powered windows (all 4)
-Seat Heaters
-Headlights look like new, just put in new HID's
-Clear bra on front, headlights, mirrors

Supercharged or turbocharged? I'm guessing it's a Stillen S/C kit if it's only a tad over 300whp.

The engine in NA. The torque comes from the gearing in the diff.

*Asks for opinions on value of car*

*Doesn't include pictures, mileage, or MT/AT*

OP first of all there's no way you're putting down 310 WHP, probably more like 240. It doesn't even have an intake spacer or HFC/test pipes, probably more stock than most people's Gs on here including mine and I'm a poor. If it's pretty and you've got below say 120k miles I'd hold out for $5000 if it's a manual. If it's an auto, and/or high miles..... good luck, especially if the gears you put in cause it to rev 3500 at 80 MPH.

With all my upgrades (chip, intake, exhaust) the car has roughly +40 HP. The car is a MT, and as previously stated has a new clutch. The car has 147k on it, BUT for 15/16 years it was driven by an Air Force colonel who never abused it, changed the oil every 5k miles on the dot, garaged it, and ALSO covered it every single day at work with a 3-layer car cover. Not a 2003 G exists today that was better taken care of.

Well to start with, it does not make 310 to the wheels. Fight all you want, DE's cant make this power on just a cat back and a POP charger.
2003 did not come in S trim.

The car might generate at most $4000, rebuilt titles hit these cars hard.

Not to sound negative, just sounds like you might be asking for more than that and you're already being unrealistic.

The only way I could be wrong is if you made a mistake on the year and you have an 07+ which did come in S trim and in this case then I'm the one that is wrong.

OP, to put it into perspective, 300whp requires full bolt-ons. Intake, full exhaust, headers, cams, tune and you MIGHT make 300whp on the right dyno.

I think the price you're asking is realistic though. You're going to have issues with the salvage title but if you have PAPERWORK TO PROVE what the damages and repairs were then it will sell, possibly for up to $6k.

Without paperwork you're going to be looking at a cash-only buyer (banks do t do loans on rebuilt titles) and it will fetch low market value.

As mentioned previously there's no way you have over 300hp to the wheels. I'd be surprised if you get over $3500 when it's all said and done. I suggest you take a more realistic approach when marketing the car to potential buyers, it'll help your sale.

Absolutely a pipe dream, I know of 3 that have been and they have far less wear and tear than a car with over 140K miles.

Yeah this entire thread is full of smoke. Like dream just posted your not being realistic at all. Especially with a car that you haven't even posted a picture of.

Well if it's clean and shiny it's still an eye-catcher with a 6MT and there's enough demand that it will have a lot of lookers coming to check it out, the biggest issue will be that salvage/rebuilt title. Unless you have documentation to prove it was hail damage, that it was repaired by a shop, then it's simply your word claiming it was hail damage. The states usually don't determine CAUSE of a rebuilt title unless it was flood damage so expect a LOT of questions from wary buyers and be prepared with a LOT of answers, unless you have paperwork to prove it of course.

And a further unless, unless he finds an UNwary and UNsavvy buyer that doesn't ask the right questions. Say, someone as unknowledgeable about the platform and its characteristics as OP.
