M3 v G35coupe Help!!!

I need your input:

A red w/black interior '01 M3 droptop with 26700 on the dial and maybe 1 year left on the extended warranty. The guy wants $34000 before taxes.

or

brand new 05 maybe 06 G35 coupe 6mt minus navi. I was able to nego. a price of 36750 drive out a few months back.

If I get the M3 I'll probably keep it until the warranty is about to expire, g35 not sure how long i would keep it.

or wait for this guy (been waiting for three weeks now) for a 03 white/tan s2000 for $21000. Has 26k on the dial. This will be a keeper if I ever get it.

What do you think I should go for??

^^^ yeah that is a major factor. 5yr old car versus a brand new one.

the m3 is a great car when it's new and under warranty, 01 has a 100,000 warranty on the engine. But it's a bitch when it's out of warranty, my e36 M3 had a million minor problems and it was on 7 years old. I have an 05, let me do it over agian and i would of gone this route; 91 nsx (21000) and a 00-01 s2000 (17000) for under 40K. But i love my G35 alot.

Cop the m3, then flip it when it goes off warranty...it should be an AMAZING car, but high maintenance...that warranty will save your butt, but I wouldn't keep it a minute after that.

Is insurance a factor? M3 Ragtop INS gotta be through the roof, still gotta be worse compared to the G and the s2000.

haven't shopped for insurance on the M3 yet. I think I can get most of my money back after a yr. Only factor is the new M3 V8's coming out whenever next yr.

Check out insurance....that could very well be the deciding factor.

You're going to suffer depreciation on the M3 no matter how you look at it, even though the m3 is a 5 year old car...the plus side is you're not going to suffer depreciation on it like a new car.

^^^I am considering the fact that I am buying it for 34 and the market valve of these car seemed to be around 36000 (Somone correct me if i am wrong). KBB states this car is worth ~37 private sales, ~41 retail, and ~34 trade in.

Well, the newer m3 you get the better. But if you're under warranty then does it really matter if there is engine problems? Especially if you're getting a good deal on one?

^^^ exactly what I was thinking. I actually wasn't looking for an M3, thought it was out of reach. Newer means more dough!

your gunna get minor problems with the m3, that are just gunna be a pain because your not gunna have a warranty and your gunna end up paying bmw prices to get things fixed, not to mention the price of all the aggravation it's going to cause you. piece of mind it the most valued assest here when it really comes down to it not the cars.
