On the left stalk, turn off the driving lights (lower set of lights big round lights) and then observe the upper lights. They should be blinding if you look at then directly at beam level (don't do this for long though ) At night, an easy test would be to pull up to a wall or dark and turn on the lights. Observe the beam from inside the car. The beam should initially be fairly dim and blueish and within 5 seconds the beam will get brighter.
I thought it was the 2003.5 that HID's became standard...Weren't the 2003.5's pretty much the same as the 04's as far as changes that they made.
