i am having a hard time deciding whether to get a 2006 brand new g35 coupe manual or a used 2002 M3 with around 30k miles or under. i know the M3 is better in speed and on the track, but to me both cars seems very nice in a way. Is there any other aspect i should consider before making a choice? I think these 2 cars are around the same price. what would u rather get if u were in my situation?

Run a search on the forum...this topic has just been recently discussed quite a few different times.
If get the G35 you're going to have maintenance costs as far as brakes and oil changes. Which is not too expensive.
If you get the M3 you're going to have 1 year left of full scheduled maintenance. But after a year you're going to have to pay for tune-ups every 15k miles. Brakes, oil changes, etc....And it can be very pricy on an M3.
Go to E46fanatics.com for more research on the m3.

is it necessary to tune up the m3 every 15k miles? i mean if u r talking about tune ups, every car needs a tune up, including the g35.

M3 needs to be taken care of, or it will get cranky.
Insurance is a big diff too - the M3 rates were much higher than the g35 rates (I looked into the same comparison of new g35 vs. used g35.)
Another thing is mods. Engine mods for the m3 are quite costly. If you really enjoy doing that, then get the G. Of course, the M3 needs a whole lot less modding - it's way faster than the G to start with.
All in all, if you can afford it, I'd go M3. It's a whole lot of car.
