Question Another one of those 'G35C good deal?' posts

Hola!

Well, I am being quoted $34,850 (Dest. included, T&L not included) for a "06 Ivory Pearl/ Coupe w/ Premium and Wheel package. Can't remember if it had painted splash guards or not. This is about $500 over invoice.

Is the climate right to haggle for invoice or is this something I should jump on.

Hope to be joining the pack soon

$500 over invoice is pretty much what people seem to be getting after haggling. I worked with about 10 different dealers in Dec, and best I could do was $500 over invoice for an 06. Ended up with an 05 for a better deal tho. Maybe the CA guys can chime in on the market in your area.

Sounds like a very good deal to me and I'd take it. That's about as good as you can get around here right now (Nor Cal).
I paid $400 over invoice for an '06 auto coupe, premium and sport package and am very happy.

Which dealership was this since I want that combo? I much rather buy a 05 now but I have to wait until spring (doubt any 05's will be left then).

Exclamation Now a proud owner :-)

I did it and am on cloud nine 300 over invoice for exactly what I wanted. Found that dealing with Internet Fleet managers is the way to go, at least this time around. Had two dealships Internet reps with similar offers but this one was closest to me. Spent 15 minutes discussing the purchase over the phone and another 45 or minutes filling out the paperwork--haggle free.

We agreed on $500 over invoice but I used a $200 coupon off any Infiniti purchase exclusive to this dealer that I found on a car.com banner ad.

Gesus: Purchased through Miller Infiniti in Van Nuys via the Internet Fleet reps, David and Roger. No guarantee on them accepting that coupon though. David told me that it was for used cars only but that he would accept it anyway. Was quick and simple.

Thank you to those who replied and good luck who use this as a reference.

wow...nice bargaining. maybe i should go down to Vannuys and buy the car and drive it up? did you have to order yours? i'm assuming its an Auto. I am up in the bayarea trying to get a 6mt w/ premiuim/navi/aero. Just got quoted from Serramonte dealer of $39388!!! He wouldnt budge, was willing to go down to $38800, but still...$2k+ over invoice...i dont think so. arrrrgh....maybe i'll have better luck w/ peninsula infiniti tomorrow.

Oakland. Contact the Internet Sales Managers. I went to Edmunds.com, entered my zip code, and it gave me 4 local dealerships to contact by e-mail. I wrote what I wanted as far as options and said I was "willing to pay invoice +$500". The next day 2 dealerships agreed to the offer, with *no* haggling at all, and the other two kept calling and e-mailing but I never talked to them.

It was super easy. YMMV.

internet dealing do saves gobs of time and you'll deal directly with the fleet managers... less haggling required... i got my 05 6mt sedan premium in ivory pearl for $1500 below invoice back in dec 05.... the internet sales guy at costa mesa was willing to match oakland infiniti (oakland didn't have one in their stock and had to locate one w/ a fee)...
