I am new to this board, but not to tuning. Just so you know, and because I like telling people I have two Turbo Buicks (Grand Nationals) and a 1.8T A4. That is my fiance wrecked the A4 yesterday, which brings me to why I am here. I am pretty sure they will total it, but either way I planned on selling it soon anyway. So I plan to get a G35 coupe. My question is: is there anything I should be made aware of? I have done some research and haven't really seen any major problems. It will be her daily driver, so it will see alot of miles. I just don't want to get in the same situation as I was with the A4--it wasn't really dependable and when something broke--it was a fortune! $3500 here, $2500 there, just isn't my idea of a practical car.
I'm thinking an 04 with less than 20k miles with sports package and 6 speed. Are both of these good ideas or should I go for the smoother ride and the auto? Basically I just want to know if this car is for me. I posted this first on Frenzy, is there another board I should know about? Also should I look for one with the Brembo package, is it worth it or more trouble?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
