Can I buy additional miles on my lease
I leased an '05 G35c last year for 27mo. 10k miles /yr
Anyway, im already up to 16k miles and i have a whole year left on the lease, once i go over 23k miles, its going to cost me .25c/mi.. I was wondering if i could purchase additional miles at a discounted rate?
Another option is that i got a letter from my dealer that they are willing to get me out of my lease and into an '06 model.. Thinking about this option of it doesnt cost me any more money.. Any advice would be appreciated.
FYI - the lease is through Hann Financial, not IFS.
Thanks

The second part of your post regarding trade it in for a new one without costing you any extar money? might not be true, two things you need to do to find out for sure, call up your leasing company and ask for your "payoff: amount and then talk to a dealership about how much they are willing to offer you for your trade-ins, you will see if there are any difference.

Leases suck unless you're writing it off somehow... they usually won't sell you extra miles. When you go to trade it in with all the extra miles on it they work the cost into your new vehicle, they may give you a little bit of a break, but some of it will show up for sure - totally sucks. I had a lease before, worked about a block away from work so I thought it was great. Then I got a new job and ended up driving over 100 miles a day. Needless to say I was way over my miles, tried to get more miles from the dealer with no luck. End of the lease I was 30k over and owed $3000...
Good luck though, hopefully you can work something out.

30k miles depreciation will cost more than $3000, so you got a good deal.

If you're going over your best bet is to sell it before the term ends.
The buyer's payment goes to buy it out.
You may have to add some cash depending on how much it has depreciated.
Usually a big saving vs paying the milage overage.
Since I always lease my cars (for business purposes)....I've done this many times.
Good luck with it.

I don't know about getting additional mileage but you may be able to extend your lease so it doesn't hurt to call and find out what your options will be. I was in a lease before the G35 but due to the delivery date of the G35 I was going to be without a car for 5 months and I didn't like the option of renting. I was able to extend the lease for 6 months. During the last month when I had two cars I was still responsible for payment and insurance though they did let me return the car three weeks early so at least I could cancel the insurance.

Youre only penalized for your miles if you turn the car in at lease end. Period.
Just call and find out what your lease payoff is, you can trade the car in, sell it out-right for the payoff or whatever.
Usually you can get a great deal trading it in for another of the same car.
Just call to find out the payoff, and look up to see what your cars value is that way you know what you are working with.
