Question '06 Sedan DRLs - make them whiter? HID-ish?

My fellow Canadians,

I'm really bugged that the DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) on my '06 sedan are not HID, since they run off the high-beams. I tried Sylvania Silverstars on my former car's DRLs (350Z) and saw only marginal improvement... it seems at 1/2 power they don't get enough juice to become white and remain sickly halogen-yellow. I don't want to always be turning on my low-beams during the day purely to compensate for this cosmetic issue.

Has anyone found decent high-beam replacement bulbs that will shine white when operating as DRLs?

Same with me. Slight improvement with Silverstars but nothing like HID.

i don't think u can get around it without upgading to some sort of hid/projector set-up. i've noticed that my dad's mercedes is always running with his hid's on. he's also commented on why they even bother putting in an auto switch if the lights are always on.
