It had snowtires (all around) to help with the chore, tho, since the coupe comes with dedicated summer rubber.
The VDC cut in occasionaly, but with prudent drivng, it shouldn't interfere much.
Welcome, 888, and good luck with your new coupe.

It's my daily commute car so I drive it all year round which I have been doing for 2 years now. You definitely need to buy winter tires for winter and I have had no problems but you must be easy with the gas pedal.
Tires can cost from $1,000 for steel rims and some brand snows (provided they fit over the brembos which I don't have) and at least $2k for some alloy and performance snows in 17 inch configuration. Not sure if getting 18" snows is a good idea but some people have and be prepared to pay $$$.
Hope this helps you out when calculating the costs. It's a great car in summer and winter!

I really love the g35c, but i need something practical...
are we talking about heavy snow here or light?
i drove a rsx the last 2 winters and it was easy as pie.

Hi there!! me too I am from a 4 years RSX ownership.
I drove the coupe last year on 18 inches Blizzak LM-22 and here in Sherbrooke (quebec) and I had a hard time....my city got many slopes and hills.
VDC is good when you are at cruising speed, I HAVE to disable it to be able to get out of my driveway. In deep snow ( around 4 inches and more) it's really hard to start from a dead stop with VDC on.
For me, last winter the coupe was not a car I could depend on...I took my girlfriend "toyota echo" to drive to work during snowstorms.
On a positive note, I plan on buying a set of 17 inches wheel for next winter and I am pretty confident that it's going to be a hell lot better (and 18 inches tire cost a fortune also...).
Also, DONT EVEN think about driving the car on either the michelin pilot sport or Toyo T1R summer tires, 1 inches of snow and your done, no joke.
(on a side note...drifting on purpose a g35 coupe on 18 inches wheel in the snow look badass...)

I drove mine all winter with snows on the 18" sport wheels that came with the coupe 6MT, and have 20's for summer. Commute from Newmarket to Markham every day without a problem. Shifting early, and driving sensibly makes it a reasonably good car in the winter. I took mine out in December during a snow/ice storm from the dealership to test it in the worst conditions for that same reason! Good luck - I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Mine's a daily driver. I wouldn't drive it in the winter without snows. Last year I had a set of 70% 18" M3's that I got with the car. I needed to put sand bags in the trunk to feel secure. This year I'm going with some new 17" M3's or something close.
You'll need snows for sure unless you follow a plough and a salter everywhere you go.
