I got tint ticket!!!!!AH!!!!

I am from Washington fo US.
I visit about two days a week to see my girlfriend in Canada(Vancouver)
This week, I was at the red light stop, and the motor cycle cop was on the walk way(where the pedestrian walk).
We were looking at him and he looked back, then when the light turn green, the cop pulled me over and gave me a tint ticket front of my girlfriend.
I was so pissed, just wanted to shove it up his @$$!
I even wanted to just throw my ticket money at him but I calm myself down..

Dude, my tint is 20%, I know it's not legal, but there are so many people with lower tint %. I saw about 5 cars(who had less than 20% tint) passing me by while he was writing the ticket.

I never got a tint ticket in Washington even though I drive everyday in Seattle.
Is there any way to avoid pay? The cop said it won't effect my Washington record as long as I pay them.
Is paying the ticket is my only option? I certainly don't want to do the 35% tint(like my father did). (redoing tint is about 200 dollar, paying ticket is 120dollar).
let me know what you think.

My friend's got unpaid parking tickets from Seattle from 15 years ago. For a few years he got phone calls abou them. Never plans to go back to the US so he's not worried.

Sometimes you have to pay to play. I would think since you stated you obviously know it is not legal then this ticket is something you are willing to pay if caught. Just as radjack79 said, any mod that is 'illegal' is just taking a risk weighing the enjoyment gained from the mod and the cost of the ticket.

take it to court tell the judge that you bought a car with it and dealer told you it 20% and it's not illegal but you took it off right after you got a ticket and she'll probably take that shet off you. I'v done it and got away with it.

Sorry to hear that, Wanchu.....but I'd just pay it and forget about it.
Probably won't happen again.

If I understand you right you got the ticket in Canada while visiting your girlfriend?

This one instance is cheaper than redoing the tint, but if you go back again and get another then you've surpassed the amount to re do your tint. I'd say keep it if it is legal where the car is registered and where you live.
You should convince your girlfriend to move, or find a new girl friend in the states.
If you don't pay the ticket it's possible that you might not be able to cross the border into Canada.

Bwahahah

im bring ALL old threads from the dead!!! because i dont start new threads anyways BC SHOULD REMOVE THE TINT LAW OR CHANGE IT TO AT LEAST 50%!!!W/E!!! its ridiculous!! we can't even have a 50% tint!!!!! but im doing in anyways *KNOCK ON WOOD* XD. 50% is safe and if the tint is really flush, people usually get away with it....the police just touch the edge of the glass, but SOME take this kind of blade and just scrape the corner or edge to see if theres a tint, and SOME BIG AHOLES actually just key your window anyways. fruits, thats why i hate cops with a passion

Sucks. But I'd keep the tint and pay up.

yeah i say just pay the 120 ticket. I know your mad and all but think of it this way if you got caught with anything darker then 35% here in hawaii. The ticket would be $98 per window including the small triangle windows. So here in hawaii your ticket would be $490.
