I was looking to switch my light bulbs, I was wondering how it works?

I use to have to a HID setup in my RSX, with 6000k.. i like the colour and output...

If i have an 06 g35c, would I simply have to just change the lightbulb and that's it?

I read some stuff in the lightning department about just changing the bulb?

Does anyone in toronto have 6000k's on that I could look at before doing the switch?

And how hard is it to do the switch? Do you have to take out the whole headlight like the RSX?

 

I had 6000k's on my RSX from XenonDepot.. They were great stuff man.

It's a bit more involved on the G since there isn't much room to play with... The G, you have to pull the fender lining back and reach up towards the bumper to change the bulbs.. (fastest and simplist way)

The RSX was soo much easier.. I always had the screws out.. so a few push plastic tabs and the bumper would come off.. And the RSX didn't have stock HID's so.. you had to be creative with mounting the ballasts etc.

I'm going to try to install my 8k's and luminics yellow fogs before I go up there next weekend... If you're coming to meet up, you can check it out.. We'll see if I have the time to do it sometime this week.


Btw, make sure you get D2S for the 06 projectors!

 

what does d2s mean? lol...

 

D2S is the type of bulb you need for an 06 headlight.

D2R is the Reflective housed for the 03-05's.

I believe you can get a D2C bulb now.. that does both.. don't quote me on that though...
