Wow, good article, Shane......I see they pegged the Tq. at 268 ft lbs, and the 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times are excellent: 5.4 & 14.0 @ 100!!!
That's PDQ....

Not long to go now bro......

That was a very complimentary review and you must be even more keen to get your hands on the new car. I would expect some noticeable power, handling and refinement improvements. It blew away the BMW in the value department if those prices turn out even close to that gap here in Canada. BMW 25% more $ I guess maybe that's the price of a better chassis.

I am sure the performance tests in good conditions will be quicker in the 1/4 and think we may have a IS350 beater here. Their numbers for the 330 were slower than I have seen before so it makes me think the G would also be better with cooler temps and lower baro. I predict C&D or someone else will run it .2-.3 quicker 1/4 and 0-60 and trap another 2 or 3 mph. Now that would be PDQ. Some guys here with the current G are getting beat by the 330 and the new G blows it's doors off. I know you don't race but nice to know what you could do.

There is no question the 07 beats the 330i in the value department. $9k USD difference is alot of money. I am sure that gap will only widen when the 335i is released.

I am just getting so excited lately about getting this new car.....moreso than any other car I have had. The day I pick it up in November, I would definitley like to swing by your house Deane. Maybe even detail it in your heated garage like we talked about.

Shane I am very sure, that Deane would detail it for you in his heated garage, if you just leave it with him for a couple of weeks .

Hahaha, no doubt about it Wayne. I might agree to that as long as I can take his coupe and spin the tires again!

^haha my G spin the tires?? There is no way it has enough power. Maybe I'll find out again at the track in a couple of weeks.

You're on Shane. I'm sure we can schedule something so you can get over here.I'm only 10-12 minutes from the stealership.

BTW, Mike is going next week to the official G launch in Whistler, so I'm sure he can give you some more details afterwards.

Thanks Deane, I will probably be taking a day off of work and coming down to pick it up, so it will more than likely be a week day. We'll see though.

No worries. I'll check with the boss and make sure I can get the time off when you're ready.
