Snow tires on 06 6MTwith Sport

Hi all,
I just got a 06 6MT with Sport so I have the 19"s. With my preivous 6MT I went from 18"s down to 17"s for snows. I sold those with my 03. Can I use 17"s on the 06 or do I just go to 18"s? I hear 17's are better for the snow. Anyone got a good place in the Mississiauga/Oakville/Burlington area for Rims and Tires?

thanks

i have 17's on my '05. same rims as yours (19"). i have no problems with fitment or vdc. i got my tires/rims from harry @ bigwheelz.com. he sends all the hardware and balances them too. all u need to do is mount them. best thing to do is just shop around a few places and pick the best price.

My dealer reccomended:

225/55/17 winter tire. You have 3 option to choose from:

Dunlop Grasphic DS-2- really soft and amazing in icy conditions
Avalanche- is a under brand to Cooper Tires-great all around
Hankook Winter Bear- this is a great all around tire with a more sporty agressive look

I am going with the Hankook...

I need help with this as well, as I'm sure some of you remember from the meet.

I don't know **** about what kinda rims/tires/tread/sizes, etc...so I need you guys to tell me the most common thing to get. All I know is that I have a 5AT '06 coupe and need 4 winter tires and 4 rims to put them on.

I will not be driving the car too often in the winter, and when I do it will be when the roads are not too snowy and primarily driving on main streets. I'm also looking to spend as little as possible, but at the same time as much as I should be.

Thanks guys and sorry for the minor thread hijacking.

Troy
