Need to make room in the garage!

Hey guys, I know that this isn't the place to sell things but I can't find an area in the classifieds for a motorcycle. Maybe Colin can shed some light here or maybe this shouldn't even be in here but here goes anyway.

I've got to sell my "2005 Yamaha R1 Raven" quick to make room for a new H3 in my garage. I've got about 2-3 days before I hand it over to a dealer for a trade in. Some of you may have seen her at the last detailing meet that Kevin hosted.

I haven't had time to take any pictures of it but I can if you really need them.

This bike is mint with only 4500km on the odometer. I've added a few things since I've owned her. Integrated signal LED tail light, flush mount front indicators, Scorpio 2-way alarm, frame sliders, rear stand and fender eliminator.

I'm asking 11,000 or B.O. "as is". I don't really want to give it to the dealer but would rather sell it to someone who will appreciate it and show it some TLC.

I'm going to miss her but I will probably just buy another one in the spring.

Let me know if any of you are interested.

Sorry again Colin for posting in here. If you need to, just move it to wherever it should be. Thanks!

No worries, Sam.....It 's fine for the few days you need it here....and g/l with its' sale.
I saw and admired it myself at that meet and it got me thinking again about biking. (only thinking, tho... my biking days are over now).
....but for someone it would be a great ride....

G/L Sam......

Colin.

Wish I was back in the market for 2 wheels. That's a great bike and judging by your other rides I'm sure it's well preserved.

Chris,

Good to hear you're including a 2 wheeler into the list of toys. I'm a little old school with my 2000 CBR929RR, but I have many spares for the track (mainly bodywork & rims) so I'm not quite ready to give her up. Besides, lets be real for a moment... I can't track a 929 to it's limits yet, let alone a shiney new R1.
If you're up to it, we should get the bikes out for a couple track days next season. It really is the only way to truely enjoy a supersport bike!

Jay

Yep! That's the first place I put it. The thread is titled "2005 R1 for serious buyers only". I got a few nibbles but no bites. Apparently that forum is not a very good forum to sell on. I believe the word they used was "Low Ballers".

The deal fell through from the dealer so I am looking to sell it for $10,000 now if any body is interested.

Colin, I promise that is the last post regarding price. Sorry buddy.

^ agree. It looks sinister, sinewy and meany, and very fast even standing still.
