Thanks for the compliments, everyone. To be honest with you, I didn't even really care that much about the marring in the paint, the swirls, the holograms, etc. until I saw the work that Kevin/picus112 did on many of the Ontario cars in this forum. The results blew me away and made me appreciate that you can wash your car and it might look "clean", but the car can look so much better. So I'm glad I got my car detailed. The next step will be to start to learn the techniques so that I can keep the car looking good more often than not.

Any suggestions on a good "quick detailer" product to use in-between the full detail sessions?

Ian - I don't any T1R's yet. The rubber on all four corners are Pilot Sport A/S's, but my rears will be ripe for replacment early next spring. I'll pick up a pair of T1R's in the 275 width at that time and will give you my impressions once I've had a chance to run with them.

Cheers.

I was the same on the detailing side. I thougth mine looked good until I saw the professionally prepped cars. I didn't realize how relatively easy it was to "restore" my car and keep it looking good. Not as good as a GTAindetail car but pretty good non the less.

I've seen those shots of your coupe Deane. Make no mistake, those pics of your self-detailed car look awesome.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to stripping it down again in the spring and giving it another treatment.

Good stuff. What kind of clay bar do you use?

Meaguires from CTC, but I only did a small part of the car as I found it didn't seem to make a big difference. I did do my wheels and glass where it seemed to do something.
