Oh, and fwiw the trunk on that thing is surprisingly large.
Turned out great Kevin
This is the 3rd time I've used Mark now...

Unfortunately, he's not doing retail in the GTA any more.
Most of his work is on the dealer side & has all he can do to keep up with the retail in Barrie.
For me it was no biggie, since I'm almost halfway there from home anyway.

That's interesting about the break in technique / maintenance and key Ian. That's a special car.

I did what loosely resembled your description with mine for about the first 250 km. I was lucky much was on the highway with virtually no traffic around on my way to and from Truro.

I'd drive to Barrie. If he does good work and will do it at a reasonable price then I will pretty much drive anywhere. I'm like that.

The break in sounds, uh, fun. I knew the M cars came in at 2k for an oil service but I didn't realize you had to follow such specific instructions. Good call on those 17's too haha, I could have just showed him my finger to point out that the calipers+rotos are *way* too big for 17's. BTW, it only needed one stitch!

Hey.. thanks Vick;
If I drove it much in the winter, I'd def consider it.
The plan is to keep her running all winter,
but only out every three weeks or so on a nice day.

The rest of the time she'll be a garage queen
My F150 catches the winter duty,

Thanks, ...The dealer was Parkview.
Mainly because they had the right car.... & I was able to nail 90% of the deal in 5 min over the phone.
Went in & negotiated the fine details within 15min.... no BS at all.
Probably the easiest car deal I've ever put together.

The best dealer I dealt with by far was Budds.
Drove the E92 335, Z4 3.0 & Z4 3.0si there.... the ca was great.
I would like to have dealt there except the only M roadster they had was black on black.

BTW.. tried several times (long story) to get something done with the dealer in town.

Yes, they (O.R. BMW) certainly are.

I have had good experiences at Budd's and with Parkview. Town & Country seemed to have some sales attitude issues - though they have a great service guy there - Derrick.

My stepmom had the first gen 6cyl. Z3 (around '96/'97?) - that was fun, and suprisingly roomy inside. The truck blew chunks though - I think it held 6 reams of paper!

Ian, what are your thoughts after 6 days of ownership? I don't see you on here as much so I guess that is a good sign. That thing must go like hell and be such a blast to drive. Just wait until next summer so you can go for a nice drive with the top down!

Hey Shane....
Why wait.... top goes down just fine right now (13 deg C today)
Turn the bun warmers up, crank the heat & way we go
I've never seen a rag top that opperates as nicely as this one.
Just one button...
- windows drop 6"
- auto unlatching, & top drops in 10 sec... no extra tonneau covers or trims

It is an absolute blast to drive......
But I can't wait to get her broken in to see what she'll really do.
The S54 M engine just pulls & pulls.. the more you feed it the more it wants.

Handling is incredible....
It's amazing what dropping 400+ lbs off the weight of a G35 does for you.

Guess it won't be long now for you & Wayne to get your new rides.....
I can't wait to see some Garnet Canuck pix
