Athens, you're only 6-7 hours to Quebec City from Boston.....not far at all.

Ian, those pics of Quebec City were extremely nice and very memorable for me. IMO, that is one of the most beautiful cities in Canada. If we meet in Quebec City, I would like to also suggest a drive to the Gaspe Penninsula......it is truly beautiful there. Just a thought at least.

This is near Niagara too? I'm really interested, and my work schedule is...well, I don't have a schedule, so whenever it's on, I'm game! I'm excited about this whole prospect. I'll probably shack up in a hotel and spend a few days in Canada.

I'm looking forward to trying some french fries with mayonnaise and wash it down with a glass of Labatt. Wait...I can get that crap here too, eh?

Good thought Shane....
I've never been there myself.

If we started out at QC then those that had to get back could....
or those that had more time could carry on;
I know I'd like to see the Gaspe

The next thing we should think about is *WHEN*
I know Deane & Heather are tied to the school year.
Wayne & Karen have a busy summer....
Pat & I are pretty flexible (time wise anyway )

You could do Niagara first (not far from Toronto)
Then you could join the GTA train to QC

If you haven't been there yet Ian, I think you'll really enjoy it. Are you thinking of camping or staying in a hotel/motel?

Actually, if you headed straight west from where you are and went across New York state, Niagara Falls looks to be about the same distance as going north to Quebec city.
If you end up going to Niagara, let us know and we all could hook up for your return trip east thru Canada to the east coast.
For you, it would be one big circular tour....

LOL, not sure about the Mayo on fries tho.....but Labatt's isn't a bad lager.

Alexander Keith's on the east coast is better tho....

Niagara to QC is probably about 9 hours or so. Are there actually going to be any Infiniti's there?

I'm sure there's some nice drives along the North shore StLawrence
You're a mind reader Ian. That's exactly where I was thinking of as a home base or main destination. Heather and I were there about 19 years ago. We took a sleeper train from here to Montreal & Quebec City return. Bags of fun on our first real "away date" before getting married.

We can even get in a visit to the in laws in Bathurst NB on the way down.

I agree Shane. That would be a nice drive, or at least part of it. My in laws have a home on the shores of the other side of the Gaspe in Bathurst NB.

I've travelled a piece of it on snowmobile from Campbelton NB and then south to Sherbrooke return. 1200 kms on my machine in 10 days.
