good globe article about nakamura

i thought it was a pretty good short read:

i didn't enjoy reading the quality stats though... then again, i do seem to live them more often that not, so there's no denying them.

Yes, it was a good read. The poorer than average stats I read referred to Nissan. The Infiniti ones were slightly above average. Of course we would definitely like to see both of them higher.

I can understand why infiniti does better than nissan, our cars come from Japan instead of being assembled domestically. It does seem that Infiniti still has more initial quality issues than lexus, seat heaters etc. and it would be nice to see them pull that up along with the new styling.

i didn't read the article yet, but i have to say that i'm very happy (and slightly surprised) by nissan quality. my 350z has been completely problem free. my last car was a 98 audi a4 and had the dash replaced under warranty. out of warranty, the turbo was replaced, the ignition amp replaced, the engine coolant temp sensor was replaced and by the time i got read of it, seals and gaskets wear showing signs as was the rear diff.

very happy so far
