I'm surprised you're going with the 19's and bigger tires.

I may be a mod addict... but I'm good at keeping secrets.
...all will be revealed at the proper time.

I will say it's not something normally seen on a BMW,

Got my visor mod done
Removed those FUGLY warning labels.

This is something that I never got arround to trying with the G.
Those labels are heat fused on & on the Infiniti they had a plastic backing on the visor.

I don't know if anyone was ever successful with goof-off or not but I didn't want to get into that mess.

With the Bimmer the label is fused directly onto the vinyl (no plastic backing)
Sooo I gave it a try with a hair dyer a scraper (borrowed from the kitchen) & a few prayers.

The process...

& the results

There was a little residue after removal.......
Isopropyl & a microfiber cleaned that up.
I followed that with some 303 to condition the vinyl.

It is soooooo nice to be rid of those labels.

Haha nice Ian. A shame mine are a part of the vinyl; I might replace the entire headliner though.

You're leaving the stock brakes but changing the pads? Any thoughts on a new brake system? I know the Z4M's is probably pretty substantial to begin with.

I have some stuff I'm working on two but one of my jack stands busted today (great week for me breaking things).

How is the deconstruction of the G going? All done?

Great stuff, Ian. Can't wait to see pics of the future mods, especially the wheels and tires.
