Fuel Injector Cleaners

Has anyone tried this in their G? After doing a search, I only really found 1 product that stood out which is the BG 44K injector cleaner, any thoughts or suggestions on something that's doesn't damage the O2 sensors or leave anything on the spark plugs?

Thanks.

So what's everyone using if anything????

I run some Z-Max thru occasionally ... but have also heard that BG 44K is good too, tho I've never gone shopping for it.
Ian, have you mentioned this product b4?

I do know that it's bad to run too much thru or the wrong stuff thru, in that it can coat the O2 sensors necesitating replacement.
So there is a downside to this kind of stuff.

I aslo know that Nissan/Infiniti does not condone additives at all, and they're very explicit about it in the owner's manuals.....so they won't approve of anything, but I also feel that running something thru carefully and in the correct quantity should help with keeping injectors in top form without doing any other damage.

It's hard to quantify any gain in this regard, except on an engine that has not been 'treated' for a long time and has injectors that will dramatically run better after treatment yielding better idle, better gas mileage, and more power.

Colin, where did you get your Z-Max? I've never used a fuel injector cleaner before and I wanted to just run a bottle through. I haven't noticed any rough idle, the only difference I've noticed is a 6500rpm idle vs a 6000rpm idle ever since I changed my sparkplugs.

LOL, giddyup69, I hope he did too...... hahaha.

I get Z-Maz at CTC and it comes in a package of 4 items: one for the fuel, one for the oil, one for the tranny, and one for small engines (lawnmower, snowblower).
I like it and it seems to keep my engines running nicely and I swear it's good for a couple mpg's too.

It's not cheap, at $40 , but I believe it's worth it.
