Worried Sick

Shiznits !!! Stupid Road Closures
My daughter was coming into town from her place in the country. I was going to babysit my 5 month old Grandaughter while she ran into town to do some errands since all our roads were closed for 3 days.
She is over an hour late and I looked out my door and the Police have the road blocked off with a couple of cars.
I went out and they said there were no accidents but they are keeping people off until the plows can come to remove some 4-5' drifts. **** they had the road open for half a day, why did they open it??? I can't go look for her the Police wouldn't let me through.
Sure hope they are okay.

Wayne, I can just imagine how worried you are, I would be the same way. I am sure she is ok. Let us know when she arrives safely.

That is crazy that your roads are still closed.

Thank God, My daughter just called, after she was 1 1/2 hours late. She turned around and went back home. This is so hard on an Old Fart. I know she is a fantastic driver, and has a pretty good car (Honda Accord) and excellent dedicated snows, but heck it's a worry when she lives in the boonies.
They have the barricades up now, hope they open it up for tomorrow, I want to see them before we go away on holidays, if we can get away (actually I can always get away if the main roads are closed I usually can get through the smaller side roads)

Sorry for this rant guys. I was just soo worried.

Glad to hear she's well and you now know what's going on.

All the best out there and I hope things get straightened out soon.

Thanks Albert. It's usually not a problem with these closures but when you have others to think about in them it's nerve racking.

Glad to hear they are ok Wayne, its a good thing they closed the roads before something did happen (if Im understanding the situation correctly). Sucks to have to wait or turn around, but better than taking a risk and getting hurt.

Thanks Stu, the joys of The Great White North, I still love it here although sometimes I wonder , but I also sometimes think it might be nicer down in warmer climates like you, and be able to jump in that centre console whenever you like .

I hear ya. Trades off are never fun. We have amazing weather *most* of the time, but the summers can be grueling and then we get to dodge hurricanes to no end.

Good to her everyone is safe and sound.

How much snow have you got out there?

I was reading that Barrie and Orillia are getting hammered with snow squalls
