Brake freezing

Anybody have/had the problem of brakes freezing (locked) after parking?

I hopped in the G to go to lunch today and the service brakes were frozen (park brake not used). It took a fair bit of power to break the brakes loose. I've never had the problem in other cars. Weather here is ~-12C and blowing/snowing and I parked it with warm brakes ~8:00AM.

The brakes also seem to be grabby after waiting at a red light. Comments?

Cheers,
AD

My coupe did this after washing if left to sit for a day or so. Never just from sitting but if they got wet and I parked, they would do this the following day. It took a fair bit to break them free. Never hurt anything though. My BMW also does this. Do you have Brembo's.

No Brembos, '07 G35X. Time to load up my specs... they'd have ripped me on this on bimmer.info.

^ Mine will freeze after a wash if its parked for more than 6-8 hours, even without parking brake engaged.

Interesting. As it's snowing madly again today (hasn't stopped for a week or so it seems), I'll have another opportunity to test for freeze at drive-home tonight.

Cheers,
