Door dented...
Door dented...
Haven't come online for awhile due to my powersupply on my computer screwed, and took me almost a week to get the new powersupply. Anyways, i guess it's just my bad luck week, my door got hit and got scratched pretty good, and a small potion is dented. However, the other side is fine other than a tiny scratch that could be okay with a little touch-up paint. I went to the dealership today (Woodchester) and get the estimate, the service guy said that i will have to paint both the door and the piece beisde it for the paint to match. The price come out to be 815 tax in. However, the parts and others only cost 150, and 670 on labors!!! I'm not sure if a small dent and few scratches could cost this much. I want to leave it alone but couldn't becuz it's at the driver's side which means everytime i open the door i am going to see it.... Any idea if this price is reasonable? Or i really should try asking some other bodyshop other than dealership? Any recommendation? Btw, which bodyshop around Missisaga/Oakville area is good, any suggestion?
Re: Door dented...
Door dingers are a fact of life especially in Toronto - it seems there are a lot of either careless or cruel people or both. As a cheaper alternative, I would suggest trying dent doctor (paintless dent removal) at Yonge & Steeles. They do a good job removing the dents but you have to take care of the scratches yourself (i.e. touch up paint). Good luck.

Hey, My friend I cannot stress this anymore than I have. The best place to take your car in is GIBSON VANDER in Concord I believe around 16th and Jane Area, his name is GIBSON and the guy is literally a Doctor and Artist when it comes to Auto Body. Go see him and mention my name Aret from the Picture framing shop etc. he did a superb alomost 100% job on mine!
