I simply took the leaking tire/wheel off my Z and will throw it in the backseat of the RAV and it's off to the tire shop. I still have my OEM 18's so I put one on the right front corner of my Z so that it doesn't have to stay jacked up while the tire is brought to the shop.
So there's no need for my Z to fight for its dear life in the coming snowstorm. It'll be safe and sound.

I'm not usually envious, but in your case I'll make a short exception.......there, it's over.

And sure, it's plausible that there could be a defect in what is a brand new tire (I've only put a little north of 200 km on it), but based on what I've seen it's the valve stem. I didn't have time to take it to the shop for inspection today, but I'll do so tomorrow.

*** UPDATE
Just got back from the tire shop - they confirmed that it was the valve stem that was the issue. There is a grommet and a hex bolt that attaches the stem to the wheel. The grommet and bolt were loose, so they tightened it with needle nose pliers, and then applied silicone on the inside of the wheel to promote a tighter seal. I just have to monitor the stem in case it ever gets loose, but otherwise it looks like I'm all set. It was actually good that they were able to do a fix buy tightening and sealing with silicone, bc usually they just replace the valve stem altogether - however, they couldn't find any matching metal aftermarket valve stems that matched the one on the Super Rozza. So now, instead of having one valve stem that doesn't match the others, they will all look the same.
I guess the true test will be to throw the wheel back on the Z, go for another run and see if it deflates again.
Side story - When I brought it in, I put it in a plastic tire bag and covered the good side of the wheel with a flat piece of cardboard.
When I came to pick it up, one of the guys rolled out my wheel from the service area. It wasn't initially in the bag, but then he put it in the the plastic bag and slid the cardboard in. So, he then leaves the tire now standing on the floor on its contact patch (i.e. not flat on the ground). Lucky for me he put the cardboard in - coz before I could walk over to the tire to lay it flat on the floor on its inside face, sure enough the other guy who was ringing up my invoice proceeds to turn around and accidentally KNOCKS OVER MY WHEEL FACE FIRST. Oh man, I was about to kill someone. Fortunately when I picked up the wheel and checked it out, the only minor scratches that were there present on the lip were the ones that existed when I brought it in. If the wheel had been badly scuffed as a result of that fall, I would have blood on my hands! The cardboard saved the wheel from certain damage.
One thing's for sure, I'll be glad once all of this BS is over and my wheel is back on the Z. Sheesh.
