i get my coupe this friday...finally.

So..after a few months of looking, I gave up on the search for the IP and settled for black. i'll be picking it up this friday..! it's an '05 OB, 6MT, fully loaded w/ nav with 40,000 kms on it. this is such a bittersweet feeling that iam having trouble describing it..!! feel kinda sad to drop $35K on it but i think it was worth it. iam sure i'll forget about the money once i start driving it..! so i guess i can finally feel like i belong on this forum! haha.

Congrats and good luck with the car. Check out the detail section or or consult with picus112 about the care of your OB.

you're paying 35k for an 05 with 40k kms (don't you mean miles, at least i hope you do)? You definitely got owned. You can wait couple more months and buy an 08 coupe for that money.

You're on the Canada site. I think you just got owned big time.

Congrats! If it's any consolation...black is my favourite color for the G.

Once you own a dark colored G ....OB or Twilight Blue once a week isn't
nearly good enough. Plus you live with a duster in your right hand....there's
one in your trunk too along with an extra chamois.....Welcome and enjoy
the new ride!

yep...yep.

haha someone told me the same thing about dark coloured cars...and I think 35K is reasonable in Canada...compared to other 05's with that many kilometres, it's at least...39K before taxes. Yes, i realize buying in canada is expensive..but it just goes to show how much more upscale canadians are to own a G in here instead of down south..!

oh also, this weekend is the start of my exam schedule...my last set ever...so hopefully i don't get too distracted with the new ride...and this site! haha.

Congrats, ya IP was my first choice and I lucked out, but black is a great choice, looks amazing when its clean. Your right 35k is a very reasonable price, I paid 33k for mine. I got exams too, its gonna be a long next 2 weeks, good luck to you.

Congrats on your purchase and good luck on your exams. Hopefully the car doesn't distract you "too much" from your studying!

I completely agree about pricing in Canada. We always here about these absurdly low prices americans are picking up G's for. You are not going to find that up here, especially where I am in Vancouver. 35K is a great number, I assume all-in. I recently paid 30K all-in for my '04 M6 w/44K on it.

On another note, how are you guys affording these cars as students? I'm impressed!

Obviously you are working several part-time jobs to pay your way through school, so I guess these jobs pay a lot better than a few years ago when I graduated. Unless you're dealing or know a great bookie!
