Detailing In New Brunswick

This isn't Kevin's caliber of work but I was satisfied nonetheless.

Thanks Colin. Actually I still have the car here at my place so the owner hasn't seen it yet. It's been raining here and is supposed to again tomorrow. He won't be picking up the car until the roads are dry......and that is looking like it won't be nice here until Tuesday.

Well here is customer #2. I found this to be twice the work that the Porsche was since the Vette's paint was remarkably hard. I wish our Infiniti paint is as hard as what is on this Vette.

Beautiful job Shane. You definitely must have used Natty's Blue or something similiar to have that gloss and depth.

I guess one advantage is you didn't have to do the roof!

Thanks Deane. After polishing with the 106FF, I applied two coats of Z5, let it cure overnight and then a coat of Natty's Blue. That stuff might be my new favorite product.

I won't hold my breath on quitting my day job just yet. Good stuff on ordering the 106FF, you'll definitely like it.

I used 2 coats of FMJ and then 2 coats of Souveran. Right now I have a couple of coats of Natty's Blue over that. Don't try the Souveran if you like the Nattys.

I'm going to order some 106FF since you guys have raved about it. Hopefully I'll get at my car in the next few weeks.

Nice, very nice! I wish you weren't so far away! My FX could definitely use more lovin' than I'm giving it. I just don't have the time to put in the much needed attention to detail. Good job, Shane.

So if I understand correctly, I CAN use Z2 or Z5 over FMJ. Then would it make sense to use Mazerna HGAS to finish. I was hesitant as Z2 and Z5 call themselves a polish so I didn't know if they can go over FMJ which is also a polish.

Sorry Peter, I'm not familiar with the Zaino line up. I'm putting carnauba waxes over top of the FMJ sealant.

I'm sure someone else can wade in here to answer your question.

Actually Peter, neither the Z2/Z5 nor the FMJ are polishes. All three of those are sealants. You can layer sealants no problem.
